A new car!
Perhaps...but if I *were* in the market for a "fun car", I would see
if I could round up an older Porsche 911 SC ragtop. Porsche owners
are usually fanatics about taking care of their cars and the old SCs
are pretty well bulletproof. It wouldn't be as fast as many, but it
would be fun and generally headache free. The tubo that I had was a
beast and much more expensive to maintain.

True, but you really can have your cake and eat it too. What you want is an
exotic that uses an American V8. Unlike a Ferrari etc you can blow the engine
to dust and can afford to buy a new one. I'm presently keeping my eye out for
a Pantera L. Italian mid engine V8 powered by a Ford 351. I'll install 4
Webers and have some fun.
