I had a friend pass earlier this year. His wife had a small service dog
that let her know when her insulin level was bad. She died of the
diabetics complication. Riley the dog, who was old, and blind was still a
great little dog. When Steve passed a couple months later, the kids had to
have Riley put down as he would not eat.

Here's what a typical liberal had to say about Bush's dog.

They're all the same.

Those people simply do not understand the bond that can develop
between people and animals. It is just stupid to imply that the dog
does not miss GHW.

What do either of you two know about the bond that develops between
people you don't know and their animals you don't know?

What does Ruth Graham, the 'empathetic liberal' know?
......

Who is Ruth Graham? I haven’t heard of her...

She's the one who wrote the anti-dog article for Slate mentioned above.
