Default No change

Other than the normal (and expected) swing of the pendulum giving
the House back to the Democrats, nothing really is going to change
in WashDC.

Nancy Pelosi will likely re-assume her familiar role as Speaker.
Investigations into Trump wrong-doing will continue, as usual.
Little will be accomplished in terms of legislation passage
because the Republicans control the Senate and Trump has veto power.

When you consider what could have made a difference, the answer is
obvious however.

The Democrats blew a very real chance of taking control of the Senate
as well. What blew it was the actions and conduct of the Democrats
during the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings.

Every red state Democrat running for re-election to the Senate who
participated and/or voted against Kavanaugh's confirmation lost.

Only one red state Democrat was re-elected. He voted *for* confirmation.

Perhaps the Dems will think about their performances in the future.
