Default Anyone Sailing, besides me???

Sailing is not simply a matter of going out on
the water a few hours at a time and putting
sails up.

Sailing is a way of life. A sailor sails. A sailor
calls his boat home for extensive periods of
time. A lubber like yourself only deludes himself
into thinking he is a sailor. Day sailors like you
are not REAL sailors or there would be no need
for the qualifier (day). A day sailor is simply a
glorified trailer sailor who just happens to keep
his boat in a slip. Kinda pathetic, really!

Real sailors like me who live aboard sail extensively
for months at a time then we take a break and
spend some time taking care of business. Day
sailing is OK after having done plenty of true
cruising under sail (the purest form of sailing, btw)
but we realize daysailing is but a poor substitute for t
he real thing.

Sadly, for you and most of the subscribers here
you do not know and probably never will know
the real thing.

You go out in your boat, a few hundred yards offshore for a few hours, turn
around and run to the keyboard to tell us all about it.

Neal stays aboard his boat and sleeps. Is that really sailing? Loco gives no
evidence of even owning a boat. Scotty daysails and doesn't even overnight.
Katy tells you she's sailing and you swallow that...why?
I go for a "short" sail, then reward the sad-sacks here with a few pics of what
they could be doing. Yup, that's sailing.
And you know it.
