The wisest action I've ever taken here is to dump John Herring into the
Thunderbird filter system so I don't see any of his posts as he posts
them and only see the occasional repost of his **** when someone else,
as you have done here, quotes him.

I've got a handful of rec.boats asshole posters in my filters...and as a
result it smells better in here than it used to... There are a couple
more on the cusp of being filtered out...
