I don't remember the exact date but that sounds about right. If that is
the one then the time is in zulu. I have not looked at what you are
looking at so I don't know. they left late afternoon to go to dinner in
Santa Barbara. Zulu is +8 and +9 here daylight savings/ not daylight savings

Dusk actually but don't try. They were breaking about 10 laws. It wasn't
written up as that because it was speculation but I know the guy and
that's what it was. Their transponder dropped 500 feet then climbed 800
and then when straight into the water. In other words, he dropped 500 to
get speed to do an aileron roll, got upside down and starved an engine,
went into an asymmetric spin upside down and bought the farm.
