I find this rather confusing. A strict read seems to indicate that none of
the fuel regs apply to my inboard powered boat now that I have added an
outboard kicker on the back. I'm sure this is not what they had in mind. How
is this generally interpreted? Does the reverse apply? Or does the rule not
apply to just that part of the fuel system that only feeds the kicker?
System uses a common tank with separate suction tubes and hoses. Even the
last interpretation doesn't seem right, since the line feeding the kicker
runs under and beside the inboard engine.
I'm trying to decide if I can ditch the anti-siphon valve on the kicker
line. Cannot get the motor primed with it in the line.
