Do you really think there is such a thing as a non-union public school
teacher, particularly in Detroit, Cleveland or Baltimore?
Well, who else could be the problem? It would be racist to say it was either the parents or the
students, and surely the union teachers aren't at fault.
When teaching, I had a choice as to whether or not to join the union. I didn't, and the local
steward and I never got along after that.
