Other than the cholesterol problem, wild caught gulf shrimp are
supposed to be OK. I have never eaten filter feeders like clams and
oysters tho. They are bait.



Used to eat raw oysters caught fresh in Annapolis. That was over 40
years ago. Wouldn't think of doing it now.




Oyster stew at either Grand Central Station or Johns oyster bar at the
Nugget in Reno. Both made almost identical and both great.



Best place around here is the Union Oyster House in Boston.
It's the oldest restaurant in continuous service in the U.S., opened in
1826.

PEI oyster seem to be popular these days. I'm sure they are available in Boston and New York at the better establishments.
