Default Hot, Wet & Wild Weekend

Yeah... you wish........

It was 34 degrees Celcius here today. Hot and only a slight breeze. Two days
of sailing this weekend and I tied one on last night when we got into the
Bay Landing at 2000 hrs from a day sail.... well although it was only a day
sail we left at 0900hrs Sunday from Shag Bay and sailed out to sea... at
1500hrs and well out on the ocean practicing high swell tactics. I had to
dive today so I elected to pull the boat into where I would be working
today. What a blast... it was about as confused a sea as you could get with
winds to maybe 10 to 15 knots. Sailing in those conditions requires a
different set of skills to keep the vessel punching through and making way.
We got to sail for a bit alongside a Nor-Sea 27. They turned back at the 5
mile offshore mark because it wasn't fun for them anymore.

Today I spent the entire day and 3 tanks of time with a whooper of a
hangover setting and repairing another 8 moorings and the rest of the finger
piers on the dock extension. Try squeezing into a 7mm wetsuit with a really
bad sunburned carcass and a hangover on a really hot day!!

So... my weekend was sailing and drinking, sailing & drinking, diving and
drinking.... [ heh, I needed the hair of the dog to ditch the Molson's
Malaria]

Time for a good night's sleep.... more diving tomorrow.
