pretending they can.



I think there are many well intentioned and committed mental health
professionals. It's just not a well understood or mature science, even
by those who practice it, IMO.

Agreed, my experience is limited in dealing with them but one thing I
learned is that regardless of how laws are written, in order for a
person to be declared a threat to themselves or to others they pretty
much have to commit a crime before mental health professionals will
report they are in or are a danger.

HIPAA privacy laws need to be relaxed a bit, I think.
