I notice the words 'myemail.cox.net' in the original link. I'll bet the link is looking for a cookie
on your machine (which would verify the email address) and can't find it. Ergo the 'bad request'
response.

But then again, I'm no computer guru.


That was my guess. It is verifying that you are the one opening your
mail.
