I'm just glad they didn't hit each other.

Lack of piloting, seamanship and small and large boat handling,
the trademark of the U.S. Navy.

Trolling again, Harry?

Of course you are.

How many collision accidents has the navy had so far this year,
several resulting in multiple deaths? Six, eight? Bad training.

Lack of training of piloting, seamanship and large boat handling ...
yes .. in these incidents. "Trademark of the U.S. Navy?

Hardly.

How many U.S. Navy ships do you think are underway simultaneously?
Far more than you probably realize. For example, last month
seven of our 11 carrier battle groups were underway, each of which
consists of many ships in addition to the carrier. There are also
many smaller ships conducting independent patrols. Collisions are
always a risk, especially when operating in close proximity to other
ships but the collision that have occurred are hardly a "trademark"
of the Navy.

The collisions have underscored a lack of funding to re-instate the
level of training provided in the past. It is being corrected.

More likely the navy is wasting money on new ships no one needs rather
than properly train sailors

Those union ship builders will be very upset.
