Default Swing keels and lift keels

I might be obvious, but the two have very different pourposes.

Swinging the keel is to adding some kgm to the righting moment, while
lifting it makes mooring possible in shallow waters.

I'm not sure they are substitutive.

Do you really want a swing or lift keel for a 'long voyage'? Where's
this voyage likely to take you?
