It does beg the question, how well would California do when we pulled
all of the defense contracts because they were not Americans anymore?
Would we make them buy all of the government land from us?
If they give the military grounds to retired folks, I've got dibbies on Ft. MacArthur. Spent a
glorious two years there as advisor to National Guard and Reserve Engineer units. Nice spot. San
Pedro has some great burrito joints.
I think if California pulls out of the union the government should
sell all of their military bases in California to developers.
Pendleton and Alameda alone would take a chunk out of the debt.
It would be more fun if California, Oregon, and Washington state
withdrew...followed by New York, the New England states, and New Jersey,
Delaware, and Maryland.
