There is a real nice park right on the main drag through Cherokee NC

... and it is a good thing. The trees are covered with poison ivy, I
suppose to prevent kids from trying to climb them.

So they play in this stream where the current is running about 15
knots. I saw a couple going away. I guess they smack into the rocks
somewhere down stream because they come back a while later.

I suppose my local golf course is trying to keep golfers from climbing the trees, 'cause a lot of
the trees look just like the one you pictured! If I'm wearing shorts and can't reach a ball with a
club, I won't go into the woods looking for it. Seems like they're planting the stuff just to make
the game go faster!

We have palmettos for that ;-)
Not a lot of poison ivy in Florida and it seems to be pretty easy to
control, compared to some of the exotic weeds. Garlon 4 mixed 1:4 with
diesel is bad to the bone tho. It will whack just about anything and
keep it gone. You will need a registered chemical guy to buy it ...
unless you have a rural king nearby. I suppose I could send you some
if you have something you really want gone.
