In the park itself there are not many places you can use an airboat if
any. The intent is to eliminate it altogether. Air boat tour operators
who used have an exemption are losing them. Most of this is done on
private property.

Is that because airboats are considered a nuisance or destructive?

What would be your boat of choice for navigating the Everglades?

Salt water kayak or flats boat.

Flats boat with a propeller tearing up the grass and stirring up the
bottom.

The bass fishermen use bass boats - I have one. You are limited to the
canals that were dredged by the USACE but there are hundreds of miles
you can travel. You won't find too many flats boats unless you go to
Florida Bay.
