From Wiki:
Switzerland is one of the most developed countries in the world, with
the highest nominal wealth per adult and the eighth-highest per capita
gross domestic product according to the IMF. Switzerland ranks at or
near the top globally in several metrics of national performance,
including government transparency, civil liberties, quality of life,
economic competitiveness, and human development. Zürich and Geneva have
each been ranked among the top cities in the world in terms of quality
of life, with the former ranked second globally, according to Mercer.
Sweden maintains a Nordic social welfare system that provides universal
health care and tertiary education for its citizens. It has the world's
eighth-highest per capita income and ranks highly in numerous metrics of
national performance, including quality of life, health, education,
protection of civil liberties, economic competitiveness, equality,
prosperity and human development.
Terrible places, indeed.
It is not a place where you would want to be a welfare dependent
person or street thug. They do not tolerate it and use what you would
call draconian measures to make them get a job. In reality they do not
have that many freeloaders because of restrictive immigration policies
that make Sheriff Joe in Arizona look like a democrat.
