Congratulations are in order for Maryland's Winston Churchill High School in Potomac, MD, which
received a ranking of 75th in the US News and World Report high school rankings. In DC, the School
Without Walls High School made the top 100 with a ranking of 84th.
And then there's Virginia's Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology which was 6th in
overall rankings!
But it looks like the charter schools in Arizona take the cake:
"Five of the nation's top 10 high schools are in Arizona — and they're all branches of the same
charter school.
According to U.S. News and World Report, Basis Scottsdale is the nation's top-performing high
school, followed by Basis Tucson North and Basis Oro Valley. Basis Peoria and Basis Chandler were
ranked fifth and seventh, respectively."

Perhaps there's something to be said for those charter schools, eh?
That may sound significant to the people who have never heard of
Potomac Maryland but this is what Bloomberg says about it
" Bloomberg Businessweek labeled Potomac as the twenty-ninth richest
zip code in the United States in 2011, stating that it had the largest
population of any U.S. town with a median income of more than
$240,000.[3] In 2012,"
.... and gee, they have a great high school. Who would have believed
it? ;-)
