You appear to be located in Newport.

You might check over at NHYC -- they have the Anteater high school
regatta going on this weekend (http://www.nhyc.org/) and just might need
some extra volunteer hands. Unfortunately they hold the Anteater in the
harbor so it may not get you out of the harbor and only out in an
inflatable, but it might be good fun anyway, and provide an opportunity
meet up with folks there for alternate opportunities. Besides, your gal
just might enjoy watching the kids compete in FJ's instead of bobing
around on a big boat anyway. And, if that get's you going -- be sure to
check out the Rose Bowl regatta Jan 3-4 at Alamitos Bay Yacht Club.
