This "rightie" was going to votefor Bernie till I saw the damnable dishonesty of what tour DNC did to double cross the man. Betrayal of a high order. IMO!

I effeminately had him in my sights, John. He is a good man, and though I don't agree with some of his policies, I was willing to give him a break, besides he is very likable..

I didn't like Clinton, and I didn't like trump. So Bernie seemed to be the most experienced person for me to vote for.
He had an amazing following to the point that by states, he had more electoral votes than Hillary. I thought he' receive the nomination. I really did. Then the powers that be thought that she should have the ticket, o they screwed Bernie out of his ballots and gave them to her.

That was one of the most outrageous and dishonest things I've ever experienced in my voting life, and it showed me a lot about how the DNC actually worked. "The end justifies the means" or equally appropriate- “The result justifies the deed.” By then, I was disgusted with the whole process. I, as well as some of my friends thought that if they'd do that to their own, what'll they do to you?

So now I was in a quandary and found I had 4 options. Vote for Gary, Jill, Trump, or don't vote at all. So take your pick and tell me what I did, or didn't do.

Btw, Harry's constant badgering as well as the tactless and backfiring comedy of that ninny John Oliver and others of their ilk, didn't really help their cause. Harry never did give me a comprehensive reason why I should have voted for Hillary anyhow...probably because he couldn't. I'd say mostly because I figure he thinks I'm some ignorant hayseed from 'flyover Illinois" and it wasn't worth his effort. Never heard one benefit from him, only insults if you didn't support Hillary's run for the white house. Way to go, Harry!

But Trump is the president, and like BHO, though I may disagree with him on things, he's still the president. My president.

And you're right, Harry did more to hurt the Dem's cause than to help it, that's for sure.

Thats how I saw it, John. I thought that Bernie was probably the most honest of the two candidate choices. and what gets me is the majority of people who thought it was a good idea to give his electorals to Hillary are the same ones bawling and screaming because Trump was voted in by the Electoral college.

It's good that we have choices John. As Tallula Bankhead said "I'm as pure as the wind driven slush" I think she was describing the DNC. If you support endorse corrupt, doesn't that make yourself corrupt?



My wife and I were discussing Trump, the Dems and the events going on
this morning. She's a HUGE Trump supporter as I've mentioned before.
I told her that here is how I see it:

First, I agree with many of the actions Trump is taking. I think
overall it will be good for the US economy and for US citizens in general.

Agreed.

However, I think the *possibility* exists that the Russians have some
leverage on Trump related to some of his past activities in Moscow. I
don't know if the rumors are true or not ... nobody knows except
possibly the FBI and other Intel agencies.

A 'possibility' always exists.

*If* true and *if* Trump and his campaign people collaborated with
Russian agents to "strike a deal" during the campaign, he is probably in
deep **** and probably won't make it through his first term. Trump
comes from the "art of the deal" mentality, not a political mentality
and winning at any cost is his blood. If it turns out that a deal was
struck to get the Russians to aid in his election by hacking and leaking
DNC and Clinton campaign emails, then turning them over to Wikileaks in
exchange for favors after the election, the whole thing reeks of
Watergate all over again.

If he struck a deal, he should be gone.

Best thing to do right now (IMO) is convene an immediate investigation
led by a special prosecutor to clear this whole mess up once and for
all. If nothing is there his approval ratings will soar and the Dems
will have egg on their face again. If it is proven that he is guilty of
collaboration with the Russians in order to win the election, he should
be impeached and removed from office. If nothing is done, we are going
to live with a long, gridlocked Congress and nothing will be able to be
accomplished.

Agreed, as long as they can find an impartial special prosecutor.

Meanwhile, although annoying as hell, I'd encourage despicables like
Pelosi, Shummer, Warren, Waters and a few others to continue making
jerks of themselves, calling for resignations and impeachments before
anyone is even charged with anything. All it does is show how ****ed up
certain Democratic "leaders" are and they will have a negative influence
in the mid-terms in 2018.

One other thought that I forgot to mention:

I don't think the Dems are in any big hurry to bring this mess to a head
and get it resolved. Even if they prevailed, they still would not have
the presidency, the House or the Senate. It's more in their interests
to continue the "drip, drip, drip" of accusations, rumors, false news at
times, etc., similar to the Wikeleaks releases about Hillary during the
campaign, in order to continue their obstruction in Congress and peck
away at Trump's base loyalty as we move towards 2018 and 2020. To clear
this whole mess up quickly and efficiently is not in their best longer
term interests.
