We could ship them plenty of corn if our government would get rid of

ASAP but unfortunately the Iowa corn farmers were big Trump
supporters.

I was thinking more in terms of eradicating the damn caterpillar. I heard Trump, in one speech, say
he was in favor of ethanol. Hope he was just currying some favor. The 15% stuff can wreak havoc with
a lot of engines, especially the one on my motorcycle!

Ethanol fuel is a complete boondoggle. Not only does it consume more
energy in its production and distillation than it saves, but as you
point out, it damages engines and fuel tanks. It also reduces fuel
mileage because it is less efficient than straight gasoline.
Unfortunately it has acquired a political life of its own because of
the farm lobby and EPA weenies.
