That is a religious connection, not the culture of the people in
Eastern Europe. Few if any of them could find an ancestor that even
knew anyone in Palestine in 1945.
I have a far deeper cultural connection in Ireland, UK and Germany but
it doesn't mean I can take property there by force and say god gave it
to me. Even the US Army gave Germany back after they shed blood taking
it away from the nazis. If the Jewish people needed a homeland, we
should have carved them out a nice spot there. The truth is that was
not politically possible so the europeans used racist logic to say,
those brown people in Palestine are just sub human "wogs" who had no
rights. We will take their land. It is still going on.
