If you're leaving from Lehina, you'll have no worries. It's usually flatter
'n a pancake there. We went out last on a 47 foot Cat and had a marvelous
time. If the little gal with the video camera is along for the ride, say hi
and tell her you might buy the video at the end. I think it was another $50
and worth every penny. If she knows you're interested ahead of time, she
films you more and it almost becomes a personalized video. We bought it
along with the day cruise and remember the trip as anything else we did on
Maui.

Thanks! We're staying up at Napili Bay. We were (at least I was)
pointed towards a "Paragon" boat, because they were recommended in a
book which said they get the sails up fast, and like to sail, while
others have a lot of people and just motor -- "Paragon" leaves from
Maalea... Do you have another recommendation? We have not yet set
anything in stone, and everybdy is eager to get our money! :-) The
video sounds pretty neat.

The skopamine (?) patch works well and ginger does indeed work too. On the
road to Hana there's a little stand that makes fresh ginger & sugar cane
drinks for a buck. Addictive! Have a great trip.

We've passed on the Hana trip before, because of reports of traffic.
A guy I worked with who is a native and grew up on Oahu said the Hana
Road was just bumper-to-bumper and like a parking lot.
I'm used to driving tight and twisty roads and that's where I usually
prefer to ride motorcycles, in the Coastal mountains of the SF Bay
Area, but maybe traffic should be better in November since kids are in
school and it's sorta off-season. We *ARE* going to try it this time,
because of that.

Thanks that's been a great help!
