I have a couple of reusable stainless steel k-cups I put my preferred
choice of coffee into. I get the coffee I like, there's nothing really
to recycle, and it is much less expensive per cup.

I agree. I ended up with a Senseo pod machine that has a filter cup so
we can use the fresh ground coffee we like. There was some discussion
about whether I should have gone with the K cup machine tho.
