I ran over the oak leaves in Maryland too.
You must not have lived with queen palms. They drop all sorts of crap
other than just the fronds. This yard was full of them and back on FPL
there are a bunch that just grew wild. I am killing them off as fast
as I can but they are hard to get rid of. The trunks kill a chain saw
pretty quickly.

I had 6 of them plus 3 Sables. I had a pygmy date palm that
I had to hire a backhoe to remove it.
