For the record she is actually the 2nd foreign born First Lady. I
believe it was John Quincy Adam's wife that was born outside the USA.
Mrs. Adams was the daughter of an American who was working in London.
She was, therefore, an American by birth.
She was married to a great president, an astounding diplomat, who made
many contributions of intellectual and political substance to the United
States and its people.
I suspect the Trump presidency will provide us with many painful laughs.
