Absolutely right, totally out of control. Meanwhile the COE neglects
things like the Intra Coastal Waterways which they should be focused
on. Obstructions and shoals remain in place for years and the Corps
does nothing but move a few navigatiom markers, if that.


Even moving the markers is a major undertaking when you are dealing
with COE. We have been working for almost a year to get COE to sign
off on moving a privately maintained nav aid in the Estero bay. The
USCG approval took a couple days and the DEP approval is already in
the bag as soon as they get any response form COE at all.
