I have several technical skills which are in high demand in places where
cruisers frequent, but I don't let that information out 'cause working just
isn't worth the hassle.
On top of slack money, if you work for a fellow cruiser you normally do
it as a favor. Very few if any would ever dream of paying or being paid
for services.
If you want to earn money underway, think refrigeration, take and pass a
course that gives you a certificate that is recognized by shipping
unions, join a union and make frequent stops in ports that have produce
shipping going on. One job a year should pay your cruising kitty
