The family claims he had only a book, but the latest pictures from the scene show what the police say... a pistol. The family member that claimed that should be charged with inciting a riot.

The fact that the cops have the pistol makes it a lot easier to prove.

I'll withhold judgment until there is serious evidence the alleged
pistol was in the possession of the dead man before the shooting.

It was on the ground next to him in the picture I saw.
The Tulsa cop was wrong, not so much in Charlotte.
There are enough cases of bad cops and bad "shoots" so we should back
off when they are right.

Was it a gun?
Whose gun was it?
Was it the "extra gun" many cops carry?
Isn't Carolina an open carry state?
