The only time I flew military was Jamaica to Gitmo. You are right, it
was nasty. They treated me like a VIP (IBM contractor) and I got to
fly in a bigger seat behind the cockpit but it was still pretty rough,
It was one of those "Berlin air lift" type planes. (C54)
When I was a reporter for the KC Star, I got to fly out to the Air Force
Academy in a two-seater trainer jet, which was cool, and flew back in a
DC3, which was less cool but still cool.
And Don will believe that.
