Thought you might be interested in a status update regarding my wife's
broken arm since she and you shared a similar break at about the same time.
She went for X-rays today to see how the mending is progressing. From
the front, it seems fine but the side view shows that the upper humerus
has not aligned properly with the ball or whatever it is called. It's
displaced back too far. The doc said to give it another 8 weeks to see
if it "grows" together and fills in otherwise surgery may be required
which will involve replacement of the "ball" and pinning of the humerus
to it. Basically, it would be back to square one with the healing process.
My wife does not want to even consider this however the doc said it may
be the only way to permanently get rid of pain and discomfort.
