I like the 3.0 for small craft. My 18ft has one. It does great at 32-3500 rpm and I can tube my nephews at the lake all day on 10 gal of gas...

That 6 will do just fine. My 3.0 is 120 hp. It's like your 6 with 2 cyl. lopped off.
I doubt if you'll need it, but if ou need a starter. I have several just for the asking. These are marine starters too. Not car jobs that fit.
