I like the 3.0 for small craft. My 18ft has one. It does great at 32-3500 rpm and I can tube my nephews at the lake all day on 10 gal of gas.

It takes me about 2 weeks to burn 10 gallons of gas going out 3
evenings a week. I am not pulling a tube, I am pushing 2 ;-)
