Cite that. There may be a question about whether government inspectors
are as good as a private inspection service but you just have to look
at TSA to see that. I could say the same thing about Air Traffic
Control.
You certainly do not want to defend the effectiveness of government
food inspection. 16% of the people in the US get food poisoning every
year, according to CDC.
Market forces and tort law has far more effect on food safety than
bribery prone food inspectors.

Market forces is just another way of saying no regulation or oversight.
