Default Way to go GLORIA, APBA Detroit

Thanks for replying Bill. What some do overlook, particularly a National
event, is the sanction has to be approved by the Category Chairman,
region chair etc. I would assume this was the case in the small delay.
As for why some got their circular in time and others didn't? That I
won't speculate. For any driver to be unaware of the race and details,
as you pointed out that has been public information for quite some time.
I didn't mean to blame the local organization. Just that there is more
than submitting some paperwork before a circular, and sanction is
issued. The office does not approve sanctions, the region and category
chairmen do. If it were only so easy as some would lead us to believe....

What a clown... why blame Gloria? It is up to the local organization to
submit the sanction and all fees before the circulars are mailed. If
they were submitted late.... But if you had ever worked on putting a
race together you would have known this.

So Jeff, are you assuming the the sanction and fees where submitted
late for the PRO Nationals?

Wrong!!!!!

For all who care to check, look at the upper right hand corner of the
APBA Race Circular - Received date (at APBA) 12/02/2002, Approved date
06/18/2003.
Furthermore the insurance forms and fees where sent Priority Mail
05/29/2003 and received at APBA signed for 6/2/2003.

All forms and fees have been at APBA Headquarter since 6/2/2003, 51
days before the event.

I received my entry blank through the mail over three weeks ago.
Additionally, the preliminary APBA Race Circular has been on the US
Title Series web site for months.
