I could "by" the boat I wanted too...but would then have to join a boat
club to store it...doubling my costs.

You have little pension. You buy a boat that serves your purpose somewhat.
But you could pay monthly storage on the trailer for a bigger boat.
Loan/loan spell check. If you need a loan, you go to a financial
institution. Hopefully your credit score is a lot higher than someone like
Harry's.
