Default I sold my boat

"I got my first Moto Guzzi (the 850T) from my youngest brother who'd joined the Navy and was headed
overseas. He sold it to me for $1200. But, the rear main seal was leaking a lot, and the clutch was
shot. So, not knowing anything about Guzzis, I took it to the dealer in Seattle to get fixed. About
$450 later it was ready to go. I left it at my mom's in Seattle because I was still bouncing around
the world with the Army.

He came back from overseas and decided he wanted to buy the bike back. So, I said Ok, but the cost
will be $1650. He balked, saying he could have done the work himself. I wouldn't budge. He decided
he didn't want it at that price.

So I proceeded to put a bit over 137,000 miles on it! When I got the Mille, I sold it to a friend
for $1800. He rode it for two years, but lived in an apartment building with no inside storage. It
got pretty rusty and got knocked over twice. He finally decided he didn't want it anymore and sold
it back to me for $1200. It was in bad shape and took a lot of work to get back halfway decent. I
then sold it again for $1800 to the brother of a friend. The brother kept it for a few months and
then sold it for $2400.

Oh well. I'll have to post a pic of that bike."

You missed your calling.
Y'all should have been a used car salesman.
