hmmm. interesting. I'd like to see the 330 Amp kit for Yanmar, hold on a sustained load on a bench.

With the different casing configuration, that's the same alt I built to a 250A spec, that fried it's self in little time.

I'm convinced that listening to company propaganda and hot-rodding isn't necessarily the way to go. If you need more, then get something that's made to do more.

BTW Wayne, I trust the "old fat *******" is doing it's job and doing it well?

I read that a bit and I was confused. I am a "get the right part in
the first place" kinda guy. especially offshore. ;-)

That approach is mostly directed at the sailboat guys who are
constrained by small engine size and small engine compartments.
Putting a 320 amp Leece-Neville fire truck alternator on a 30 hp
Yanmar is just not an option for most of those guys.

They sure look nice on the head end of a DD 6-71 however.
