I have seen people out in a pretty big world in pretty small boats.
Guys go offshore here in 14' jon boats but this is the gulf and can be

I also questioned whether a 311' AVP was enough boat for the North
Atlantic. We had blue water coming over the 02 deck and the screws
were coming out of the water on every wave for days at a time.

I have on occasion observed waves breaking over the bow of a 900 ft Navy
ship.
