I suppose it has to be pointed out that we fought the wars we had
before the 80s with drafted men. That was a very non selective
process. Granted, they didn't want Harry but usually the only
requirement was a reasonably healthy guy.

"They" didn't want most men of the appropriate age group. A very small
percentage got the letter to report for a physical. And from what I've
noticed among several of those here who "served," the standards had to
have been pretty low for mental abilities, which makes perfect
sense...how smart do you have to be to stop a bullet in a war against
people who were no threat to the United States?

From the keyboard of a chicken.

It's not my fault that you and FlaJim the other right-wing Asshole were
too stupid or lazy to get into a community college back in the day. Even
a state four year college back then was cheap enough so that a student
could pay his or her way with part time and summer job.

Too stupid to take the coward's way out?
Think again Kayser Susy.

I turned 21 in boot camp. Guess I should have stayed for a worthless
liberal arts master.

I turned 21 in IBM school, learning a real job, after serving my
country. I imagine Harry was on a panty raid at U Kansas
