It's been raining pretty much every day for more than a week, and the

Huh?
What kind of lawn tractor won't cut the grass, no matter how high it
is?
When I was doing the neighbor's yard I cut down some Cogan grass that
was over 4' high. I had to back up and crash into it a couple times on
each clump.

Well, perhaps it is because I don't like to leave a mess of clumps of
cut grass...but my mower deck starts to choke when the grass is more
than 6" high, which it happens to be. The landscape guy has one of those
high-powered zero turn circle jobs that looks as if it could mow down
the forest primeval.

You must have it set up to mulch. I run over the stuff, then run back
over the clumps if I have them. I usually try to stay on top of this
stuff but when I was doing the neighbors yard it was out of my
control. When it was vacant, the bank only cut it when the county gave
them a ticket so I was doing it.
