Getting a big kick out of the Altima's mileage. Same sort of driving
... mostly around town with some limited highway. Averaging between 31
and 32 mpg. For someone who was used to 11 to 12 mpg (in the F-250)
this is miraculous.
Something I have to disagree with Greg about. Like him, I have always
used the outside mirrors (and inside rear view mirror when not towing
something) for backing. The backup camera in the Altima has
two views ... one a fixed, long range view and the other an interactive
view that outlines where you are backing that moves as you turn the
steering wheel. The camera provides a view that simply can't be
obtained using mirrors only or by turning your head around to watch
where you are backing. I am getting used to using it and like it.
There's a reason that backup cameras have become mandated in new
vehicles and I can understand why.
Agree. Especially with the truck and with the hitch stinger installed.
You can park in tighter spaces without banging a vehicle behind you.
