nearly 2500 miles from the DC area. 5000 miles round trip, at least,
what an awful way to waste vacation time, driving the interstates or worse."

These days I have to get out and stretch my legs after an hours drive. I couldn't imagine driving cross country. It would take me forever.

The time we went out there we spent three very enjoyable days on the road, arriving
in Moab, UT, on the fourth day of travel. There is a lot to see and experience all
across this country, just as there is all across Canada. We stop about every 100
miles, or sooner if we want to see something. My pickup has enough leg room to
stretch them out plenty!

We visited Colorado National Monument, Arches National Park (NP), Canyonlands NP,
Bryce Canyon NP, Zion NP, Grand Canyon NP (North Rim), Zion NP, Capitol Reef NP, Dead
Horse Point State Park, Antelope Canyon, Monument Valley, and a few other spots going
and coming. A month long trip, and a lot of fun.

Of course, some would think that flying over those spots would be much more
enjoyable.
