Bayliner 180 BR with outboard. Or the 185 BR with stern drive. Would probably go with larger engine (4.3 liter) rather than the standard 3.0 that comes with the 175 BR. They are only 6 inches longer but 8 inches wider and a higher freeboard. Weigh about 25 percent more. Same deadrise on all at 19 degrees. Would the 18 be worth the extra 7 or 8 grand??


Having had both a stern drive and an outboard, if I were buying right now, I'd
definitely go with the outboard. I can't tell you if it's worth the extra money for
the 18'er, but if you've a chance to go outboard, I'd take it in a heartbeat.
