As noted the Lake of Monteith is "heavy duty" fishery. There is a picnic
area close to the waters edge, which would allow access for a canoe.
Landing on any of the islands is prohibited and I expect so is canoeing!

Loch Ard was a pleasant paddle though. Motor boats are permitted on the
loch but limited to 5hp.
