Toronto Island Ferries
Shots of the Toronto Island Ferries. Ferry service has been ongoing
since the storm in 1858 that cut a swath through the penninsula,
creating the Eastern Gap, which in turn left the penninsula becoming an
Island. As it was only a sand bar, currents in the harbour tore it
apart, creating a group of Islands. Today, it's a large park area, with
a group of residents living at the east end, at Ward's Island, and
Algonquin Island.
