again the short answer is no.

my Old Town is 11 years old and except for some fading in the color is
as waterworthy as the day i brought it home. it has always been
outside about half of its years in direct sun.

Old Town only cautions about covering Oltanar/Royalex with a tarp and
storing under direct sun light. that WILL deteriorate the ABS as the
tarp acts like an oven and will cause the substrate to seperate.

if this boat has been garaged and is otherwise sound, buy it.
otherwise sound does not include the seats or thwart. don't spend any
time worrying about their condition. they can be replaced relatively
inexpensively.
