I just went over to a local hardware store and bought a new sleigh type scoop. We expect your storm tomorrow or Tuesday.
BTW our RONA hardware chain (based in Quebec) has been bought out by Lowes. Not sure if that will make much difference.

I was just watching the latest forecast. Normally a storm in this
location wouldn't be a big deal because it will pass over 400 miles
off the coast. But apparently this one is going to blow up to be so
big and strong that it will still throw heavy snow and high winds (45-50
mph with gusts over 65) back our way along the coastline south of Boston.

I learned my lesson last year though. I spent a couple of hours today
with the tractor pushing the snow banks back that I made on Friday when
plowing to make room for more. I didn't do that last year and quickly
ran out of space to plow the snow.

We have little room to pile snow. The city has about a 5' wide grassy area between the sidewalk and curb that the street plows like to push snow up on and the residents do the same. If we don't get a thawing period (like last year) the banks get higher and higher until you can't see over them.
