Actually we have seen that experiment. When Rudy took over New York
City from the Democrats and actually started enforcing the "little"
laws, crime, particularly murder plunged, making NYC one of the safest
cities instead of one of the most dangerous.
Now that we have the bleeding heart liberal mayor, that crime rate is
creeping back up again.
Always the fact checker, I looked it up. When Koch and Dinkins were
the mayor, they had between 1504 and 2245 murders a year. Rudy had cut
that to 649 by the time he lefty and Bloomberg, following the same "no
tolerance for petty crime" philosophy got it down to 328. It is going
back up again with DiBlasio.
